Rudy Sambrano

RUDY SAMBRANO, 75 of Waipahu, Hawaii, died on March 14, 2019 at home.  Rudy worked at Oahu Sugar Company in Waipahu for over 20 years as a heavy equipment mechanic and eventually retired from the State of Hawaii-DOT.  Rudy had a life-long passion for volleyball.  He was a USVBA national volleyball official and officiated at the high school level for many years.  He founded Kuuipo Volleyball Club and coached volleyball at Waipahu High School and other high schools and clubs throughout Hawaii.

Rudy was a loving husband, a wonderful father, and a doting grandfather to his wife Darnelle; son Garrett; daughter Raynelle (Justin) Finklestein; and three grandchildren.  Surviving brothers and sisters Bobby (Wilma), Jerry (Sharon), Teddy, Clifford, Steven, Veronica Jackson and Verna (Gordon) Kekahuna.  Many nieces and nephews.

We would love to have you join us in his Celebration of Life.  Services will be held on Friday May 17, 2019 at the Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary's Mauka Chapel.  Visitation: 9:00 am.  Services: 10:30 am.  Burial to follow the reception at 1:30 pm.
