Edward Masami Imamoto

Edward Masami Imamoto, 90, of Aiea passed away peacefully on April 19, 2021. He was born in Haleiwa and was a 1949 graduate of Mid-Pacific Institute. Ed put his education on hold in 1951 to enlist in the U.S. Air Force where he served his country for 4 years during the Korean War. He went on to earn a BBA from the University of Cincinnati, and MBA from Northwestern University. Ed was a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) at Ishimoto, Imamoto & Co., CPA, Inc. Throughout his life, Ed enjoyed listening to jazz, watching movies, working on his huge worldwide stamp collection, spending time with his wife Miyeko, and was a die-hard Chicago Bears and Cincinnati Reds fan. Edward is predeceased by his father, Masao Imamoto, mother Fumiko Imamoto and sister Jean Imamoto.

 Edward is survived by his wife of 57 years, Miyeko; his two children Anne Imamoto Salazar and Ted Imamoto; son-in-law Lester Salazar; and three grandchildren, Taryn Shimabukuro, Tia Shimabukuro, and Wyatt Imamoto.
