Stephen Neill Obituary

Stephen Leo Neill, 69, died unexpectedly on October 21, 2021, at Pali Momi Medical Center. He was born March 30, 1952, in Honolulu, the son of Alexander and Caroline Catherine (Sharratt) Neill.  Stephen graduated from Waianae High School. Class of 1970.  Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Army Reserves. Stephen went onto working for E. E. Black and retired from American Piping & Boiling Company after 44 years in 2019. Later in life he married his wife Glynis Ortiz, they resided in Maili throughout and lived out their dreams to travel the world one small piece at a time. This Thanksgiving Day, they would have celebrated 19 years of marriage. Stephen was an avid waterman who also enjoyed gardening and building things. Stephen has six sisters and four brothers. Surviving in addition to his wife, Glynis (Ortiz) Neill, is his son, Kainalu Leo Ortiz‐Neill, (fiancé, Davelyn Kaawa‐Higa); daughter, Healani Ortiz, her son, Gavin Makamae Ortiz and many loving beloved nieces, nephews, and beautiful grandchildren.  

Due to COVID restrictions still in place, viewing will be done as a drive by service of remembrance that will be held at 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel, 94‐560 Kamehameha Hwy. Waipahu.
