Yoshiko Nakatsu Obituary

YOSHIKO SAITO NAKATSU 83, of Moanalua Valley passed away on July 22, 2020. She was born in Osaka, Japan and educated in Takarazuka. Married Ron Nakatsu of Hilo 61 years ago at the Yokohama U.S. Consulate. Had to ask a stranger to witness the marriage. Celebrated with sake and ramen. In 1960 stopped over in Hawaii and drove cross country to Pennsylvania to our next military assignment. Her 1st born, Jeannette was in Scranton in 1961. Shipped to France (Berlin Crisis) her 2nd born was Doreen and then twin boys, Robbie and Bobbie. Yoshiko was truly a caring and loving mother who supported her children throughout their lives from toddler thru Higher Education. If a mother's success is measured in education and good citizenship training than Yoshiko's grade is A+. Yoshiko was mother to an Engineer, a CPA, a College Professor and another with 5 years of college. Yoshiko has two grandchildren, Jake and Angel. She has successfully tried to spoil both. She was Ron's love of his life. Yoshiko was truly faithful, always loyal, completely supportive, never complained and unappreciated by the entire family like an old country Japanese samurai wife.  And that's probably why Yoshiko's marriage lasted 61 years. Most of her life she thought she was going to die at 40. Then she changed and wanted to live longer. She mentioned 90 and 95. Which is why she agreed to begin Izumio and Dr. Shintani's energy chamber. Too bad we didn't start earlier. Her health problems were 3 heart procedures, broken hip bone twice, fractured shoulder bone, pacemaker, diabetes, high blood pressure  and on a wheelchair.
